You may think you've thought everything when it comes to your big day...but have you considered the importance that these 3 overlooked elements have on the your guests impression of the event?
There are countless little details to consider when planning a wedding and with so many things to juggle it's easier for some elements to get overlooked. But the truth is, every aspect of your day has the chance to leave a lasting impression on your guests.
There are 3 areas in particular that often get overlooked or are an afterthought when it comes to wedding planning. This list will give you a helpful reminder to incorporate these things into your planning tasks and make them just as special/memorable as the bigger aspects of your day.
Cocktail Hour
Cocktail hour is the first impression your guests will get of your reception events. It's the first "designed" portion of the day and it really sets the tone for the rest of the reception. People often skim over this event because your guests will only be spending an hour or so in this area of the venue. But it's important to add special touches that will give your guests a sense of what they can expect for the rest of the night.
Restrooms
An essential part of your day and definitely a need of your guests. It's easy to make your guests feel like VIPs by adding small luxuries like: baskets of mints, hairspray, aerosol deodorant, bug spray for outdoor spaces, and anything else that may come in handy for your guests.
Walkways and Hallways
These transitional spaces allow your guests to move freely around your venue. And just because a minimal amount of time will be spent in them doesn't mean that they aren't important to add ambience to. Walkways impact the flow of your day and events, so it's good to make avoid obstructions, obstacles, and add some subtle nods to the overall theme/decor of your wedding.
Have you considered these elements in your wedding planning yet?
